📣Exciting News from Kingman Unified School District!
🎉We're thrilled to share that two of our incredible staff members are making big strides in their careers!
🌟A huge shoutout to Eric Najera from Hualapai Elementary School for being accepted into the SETTA program, and to Linda Panagopoulos at Kingman Middle School (KMS Bobcats) for her acceptance into the GETSET Tuition Assistance Program through the Arizona Department of Education.🌟
GETSET (General Education Teacher to Special Education Teacher) is an amazing program that offers tuition reimbursement for certified general educators ready to transition into special education. Meanwhile, SETTA (Special Education Teacher Tuition Assistance) supports paraprofessionals in gaining their special education teaching certification.
At KUSD, we’re all about “growing our own” educators, and we can’t wait to see the impact Eric and Linda will make in our schools! Way to go, Linda and Eric – we believe in you!

Before break we gave some students some amazing shirts that they earned from their quarter 2 bench marks! Students who went up a level got a shirt, and if they tested proficient in math or ELA they got badges on their sleeves!
The shirts were designed by our own art teacher Mr. Larsch and his wife and provided by our National Junior Honor Society!
Below are some of our students rocking their new shirts, if your student came home with onr please add a picture of them in their new shirt to the comments 🙂
Always proud of our Bobcats!

The 8th Grade Showcase at White Cliffs Middle School this year provided an incredible opportunity for 8th graders from Kingman Unified School District, as well as from Yucca, Valentine, Cedar Hills, and Emmanuel Christian to explore Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways.
Students had the chance to interact with peers already enrolled in these programs and engage in hands-on activities, including welding. This event was a valuable experience for introducing young learners to potential career paths and practical skills.

Before Winter Break, Mr. Alexander and Cambridge students from Kingman Middle School visited Little Explorers Early Learning Center to share the delightful tale, "If You Give a Mouse A Cookie," with the little ones. The preschoolers loved listening to the story as they enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie treat that complemented the theme perfectly.

Last Wednesday, Kingman Middle School celebrated their Winter Carnival, organized by the Kingman Unified Special Olympics K-12. The event featured a variety of fun activities for students and their families to enjoy. A highlight of the day was a special appearance by the Grinch himself!

Kingman Middle School students who are a part of the Kingman Unified Special Olympics K-12 visited the campus of UNLV. Students participated in a guided tour that included learning about campus life and the different programs available to students. This tour made attending institutions of higher education a more tangible reality to students with diverse learning abilities.

Yesterday, Kingman Middle School hosted the Reality Store. 🏠💵
The "Reality Store" is an engaging activity in which students randomly select a career, annual income, marital status, and whether or not they have children. It serves as a real-life simulation to the game of "Life." Students learned how to manage a checkbook while exploring career options and making important life choices.
A special thank you to all the volunteers that came together to make this another successful event for the students in our community!

Last week was exciting at Kingman Middle School! In the spirit of camaraderie, the school extended an invitation to Manzanita Elementary, welcoming them to come and join in on trick or treating right in their hallways. The KMS students and staff had a great time handing out candy in their fun costumes!

White Cliffs Middle School hosted an exciting Football Jamboree to kick off the season! Teams from Kingman Middle School, Wallace Jr. High, Desert Star Academy, Kingman Academy of Learning, Mohave Accelerated Learning Center, Mohave Valley Jr. High, and Thunderbolt Middle School joined for an afternoon filled with plays and sportsmanship. It was a great opportunity for our young athletes to showcase their skills and passion for the game. 🏈🎉
